Is there any way to remove a few small damp spots from a bathroom ceiling. They've been there a while but don't seem to be getting any worse, so I was thinking if they could be wiped off with something it might be ok. Anyone got any tips?

Polycell used to make a product called *Mould Cleaner* which definitely worked on the black mould I found growing around my (old) wooden sash windows. I used to just wipe the surface with some of the neat (ie undiluted) mould cleaner with a 1/2 inch paint brush and let it dry. The mould seemed to magically disappear ! If you can still buy this product, you could put some in a spray bottle and spray your bathroom ceiling.
you could try bleach, then the next time you emulsion buy anti mold paint or kitchen and bathroom paint.
