CORNED BEEF CURRY:
Ingridients for 2 (sorry for sp)
1 pepper
3 smallish mushrooms
1onion
1 tin of tomatoes(flavoured or unflavoured whatever floats your boat! LOL!)
2/3 cloves of fresh garlic.
1 tin corn beef spices of your choice
splosh of worcester sauce
cayenne pepper etc
tescos pre mixed curry spices.

prep your veg how you like. fry the onions over a medium heat for a couple of minutes, then add the mushrooms fry for a further few minutes then add the peppers, again fry for a few moments.
Add spices and keep frying either grate or crush your garlic in at this point and fry for a few minutes making sure the spices are evenly coating veg. Add tomatoes and allow to simmer.
Whilst this is happening open and wrestle the corned beef out of the can, took me a few attempts on the new ring pull system, but got there in the end! roughly chop said item into cubes.
Add to the veg/tomato mix, dont panic as the corned beef will fall apart as the fat starts to mealt. add worcester sauce and simmer whilst rice/naans whatever is cooking or butter some bread.
Add spices as and when you feel it is needed, i never add extra salt as the corned beef has plenty, allways taste as you go, if it gets too hot add a little yoghurt, that allways does the trick. And bon appetit! enjoy!
If any ones interested i have a corned beef surprise recipe as well, just ask and i shall find!

Are you a corned beef merchant?
Well I'm not a corned beef fan (although the odd corned beef hash was better than corned beef on its own when I was younger), but my bf loves the stuff, so I'm going to give this a whirl: quick and easy supper when we've both been working late. Thanks firewatch.

no winebuyer i am not a corned beef merchant, i just find its a great store cupboard stand by. gallapunk i hope you enjoy this quick and easy tea!
go on then, give us the 'surprise' recipe, i know you're dying to!
i agree, corned beef is a great store cupboard item, although my husband just likes it in a sandwich.
i do a corned beef hotpot by layering corned beef, carrots, onions and potatoes, and pouring over about a pint of stock made with a couple of oxo's (a green and a red) and a splosh of worcestershire sauce. cook on 'high' for half an hour then turn it down and cook for a further hour and a half, checking the liquid and adding more water as necessary.
Wa haaay firewatch --thanks for that and I will try it -sounds really good actually.

Hope youre feeling better and your thread last night cheered you up a bit xxx
