broken digital camera - retrieving images from internal memory

I've broken my digital camera, it won't even switch on. Unfortunately, it has some 50 pics on the internal memory that i REALLY want to retrieve. Not sure if this is possible, or are they gone forever? :(

Are you really sure that the memory is internal to the camera as opposed to the normal removable memory card?

What's the make and model of the camera?

No, that's the problem - it's the internal memory. It's a samsung digimax A6. I may take it down to Jessops..?
