Spoke to mum & she thinks he's had 'another' mini stroke last night :( carers go in every morning & every evening to help my mum & they said last night n again this morning that mum should call an ambulance :( but she told me 'theres no need yet' it is so f'ing cruel :( anything that happens to him we dont know if its the cancer or the MS :(

Boy it feels good to rant!!!
Hello Jo, it is such crap to have to go through this sort of thing, your poor old mum is really copping it at the moment seems so unfair, all you can do is be there for her and please remember what i said in previous post i put on, I am good listener, not got much sense but you can swear at me all day if you want to. xx

Cheers ray xx

I'm not one for 'offloading' normally but I got drunk last night n this is the thread to prove it lol but I must say I do feel better for it :) (the thread I mean, not the drunkeness coz I have a hangover :( )

it is nice to 'share' tho :) we found out in june n I haven't really had anyone to talk about it with :(
All you can be is strong for him and your mum, don't go contacting anyone from the past it might just be too messy , unless he wants too of course then you can help ,
Sometimes we all think we are hard done too and it is pokes in our conscience like this that makes you realise some problems we have are little ones....... thank goodness.
jo, love to you hun , as always, you know where i am,! XXX
Awww slooow_Jo, so sorry to hear about your step-dad. I think everybody has said everything there is to say so I'd just like to say that my thoughts are with you hun. xxx
Jo,

Sorry to hear about your stepdad. It is a hard time for you all. We lost my mom recently and I know how tough it is. I am undecided about his children. If you think it is best, let them know.

There are many on here who were a great comfort to me during the initial grief. If it helps you to be on here then do it.

Warm thoughts to you and the family.

thank you xx
Jo I expect your Mum is just trying to control the little bit that she can, she knows that he is going, she knows that if the medics get involved matters are out of her hands so to speak ... perhaps privately S. Dad expressed that he would rather go at home -and really she is only trying to accomodate his last wishes. These are very hard times and I am sure she is not keeping him at home without a reason. Sending you lots of love Sense.X. ( ps here are some cyber nurofen to help your hangover. )

Just thought I should update & let everyone who was so kind in my hours of need, My stepdad lost his fight on Feb 4th :( thankfully he was only 'really' poorly for his last 4 days & died peacefully in his sleep at home. We never did contact his children but know now through a friend that they are aware he has died. My mum & I have agreed that if they do get in touch we will tell them as much as we can about him & put them in contact with his brother & sister.

Thanks again everyone for you kind words & support xx
A family friend also died the day after, as he was getting in a taxi to go home, & it has made us realise how lucky we were to have had the chance to say our goodbyes properly!
