stomach acids

okay, im taking this from a game, metal gear solid...but im curious if this is real...

they mention that the main character has suppressed his stomach acids in order to "store" things inside his stomach...i think i got that right...or atleast the principle...

hmm...is this possible? has it been done in the military before? could i do it? and...how would you get said item/s from your stomach? vommit them up? put your hand through your belly button? lol :P

The mind can do marvelous things but not suppress stomach acid, no matter how well you are trained.

If the drug smugglers are anything to go by, any small object that can be swallowed is safe in the stomach as long as it is enclosed in a non-porous rubberised envelope such as a condom. Retrieving it it not a pleasant exercise as the only way out is via the back passage.

lol :P i dont think in the game, the character used his mental strengths to change effect his stomach acids, i think it was a shot someone gave him. but anyways, i suppose you must be right....otherwise drug dealers would be doing the same! but ive heard that if those condom filled drugs explode inside you, well, thats the end of that!

If you suppress your stomach acids you wont be able to digest anything => death!

yeah, you coud do it, althoug it would be very daft, as you could not eat, and then ou would die, but u mite be able to store stuff in there before you starved.

i think that was the general idea in the game. To be able to store some basic but usful stuff. The games says the character goes into the mission "naked" - i.e. doesnt take any equpiment. yet he starts with something like smokes and small camera, then it goes to explain he's got them because he was able to supress his stomach acids.

would he have had to take another shot or something else to reverse the effect? In the game, the player can only eat rations found on the mission.
