Hi all...

Anyone know what product used this slogan in late 70s early 80s to advertise.

Nimble - weightwatchers bread.
Nimble bread

it wasn't the slogan, that was "Real Bread but Lighter"

The words "Up, up and away" were from the song that was used over footage of a Nimble hot-air Balloon.

this question shud b in the section called 'adverts'.

Hi Monty,

Very sorry about that. Will post on Adverts as soon as poss!

I seem to remember this for Fiesta quilted kitchen towel - or have I dreamt that?!?

I stand to be corrected but is it possible that people are confusing the image of the woman in the balloon with the lyrics of the song "Up, up and away in my beautiful, my beautiful balloooooon" when, in fact, the music in the Nimble advert was "She flies like a bird in the sky-y-y" from the song "I Can't Let Maggie Go" by the Sideburns?

...or was there another Nimble advert that I missed...?

The British Bakeries (who make the stuff) site confirms the music was "She flies like a bird http://www.britishbakeries.co.uk/ourbreadbutter/brand/nimble/middle.html

but another site http://www.bradfordtimeline.freeserve.co.uk/195099.htm quotes the phrase "Up, up and away".  I wonder if that was the title of the campaign or a tag line rather than the lyric...
