The festival season is about to start again and the range of choices is increasing year on year. Which is the best festival out there? Is it an established giant like Glastonbury, or one of the lesser known, more intimate festivals?

Doesnt sound like its Glastonbury, not the usual clamour for tickets. Just heard Jay-Z may pull out as he's being blamed for the poor sales
I'm looking forward to KendalCalling up in Cumbria... sounds like it's gonna be a proper festival, just a bunch of people hanging out and listening to good music, comedy, etc. I just don't understand the appeal of Glastonbury, it's lost all meaning, it's just a commercial behemoth now and ticket prices are ridiculous.
Camp Bestival - Have tickets and looking forward to it.

The greenman in Wales is pretty awesome. Great bands and completely non corporate - all profit goes to oxfam I think. Really nice, good european feel.

T In the Park -although it has gotten 'too' big apparently

Rock Ness seems to be the 'new' T in the Park.
Nice, laid back family festival. Sigur Ros too this year.
