Does anyone know about a computer virus

I was chatting to my boyfriend on MSM and a link came up saying are these pictures really of you and a link to click on which I started to do but my computer is protected so it wouldn't open it but now his computer is all messed up

Anything that pops up is a virus! weather is says you have won a million pound to click here to win a phone! stay away from them all! You can clean your computer with virus checkers and it should sort it out.
