I've just read the da vinci code and surfing the net i have come across two paintings of the last supper by da vinci. The one i recognise at the first link and one i don't but also by da vinci in the second link. The unknown one also stands up to Dan Brown's description in the 'Da Vinci Code'.Could someone explain please?

I'd have to say the first link is the most accurate as it's the most prominent, but the second one is amazingly done.  Also, the latter doesn't seem to depict the  'M' outlined by Jesus and Mary's bodies as explained in the Davinci Code.

The second painting is not by Da Vinci but was inspired by Da vinci's painting of the Last Supper. It was painted by Jacopo Bassano in 1542.
