Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves - Everything I do by Bryan Addams

Love is all around by Wet Wet Wet from Notting Hill (I think) and Rose Marie by Slim Whitman from the film of the same name.

Love is all around is from the film three weddings and a funeral

Love is All Around is from FOUR weddings and a funeral!
The longest continous number 1 was the Bryan Adams single that marked the end of his credibility (for 16 painful weeks).  However, Frankie  Laine was at number 1 for 18 weeks (on 3 seperate occasions) with I believe in 1953

Everything I Do by Bryan Adams number 1 fror 16 weeks and is from Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves.

Love Is All Around by Wet Wet Wet number 1 for 15 weeks and is from Four Weddings And A Funeral.

I Will Always Love YOu by Whitney Houston number 1 for 10 weeks and is from The Bodyguard.

Was that Celine Dion song not at number one for about a year too?
Well I agree about I will always love you, lowlife, but Slim Whitman was at number one for 11 weeks.Bangkok , was I Believe from a film? And Pattherat, no, it just felt like it.

Fair play galltin you're absolutely right Slim Whitman was 11 weeks so presumably it is him.

On a related note of trivia John Travolta & Olivia Newton John spent 16 weeks at number 1 in 1978 but with 2 songs from Grease (You're The One That I Want - 9 weeks and Summer Nights - 7 weeks), oh my god I've turned into Paul Gambaccini.

Pat the rat I thought Celine Dion was number 1 for ever with that one from Titanic too - turns out it was only 2 weeks just felt a lot longer!

I've no idea if I Believe was from a film I'm afraid.  The reason I mentioned it was that if it was from a film, it is one of the answers, and if it wasn't, the question is wrong and it should be 'longest continuous serving'.

Any Frankie Laine fans able to shed some light?
