I currently work at KFC while easter hols are here. I work on average 10 hour shifts a day. During this time we are rushed and because of the heat of the kitchen we get hot and thirsty, and seemings though the drinks are free to staff we do indeed help ourselves when we like. But I was wondering if too many of these a day can really be bad for you? I mean ive tried to help by drinking a no sugar drink (pepsi max) rahter than just normal. can anyone evaluate on what amount is really dangerous and could possibly cause diabetes etc?

I can't answer your specific question, except to suggest you just drink water - the healthiest option.

Sugary drinks cannot be good for you, and the diet ones are sweetened with chemicals, many of which have had doubts raised about health effects.
There is no way you are going to do yourself any favours by drinking anything other than water. Normal Pepsi is loaded with sugar and therefore "empty" calories, and diet Pepsi is full of aspartame which has recently been in the news for giving people symptoms like MS- plus joint weakness and crumbling! Many think it is a carcinogenic (cancer causing) but there hasn't been enough proof or research. Either way, if you don't know for sure, I wouldn't risk it. Stick to water. Get a bottle and fill it up from the tap and leave it in the fridge all day. You will feel so much better- hydrated- from the water, than if you drink nasry fizzy dodgy stuff.
It is not just the sugar to look out for, but the caffeine as well.

I have been told, but cannot vouch for it's accuracy, that three cups of coffee a day is plenty for the caffeine content.

Pepsi has quite a bit of caffeine in so that could be worth thinking about as well.
