yes i appear to have lost mine too.aohell has been a right pain ever since being taken over by carphone warehouse and unless they sort it out soon i`m gonna look for another provider.by the way i agree with you on firefox much faster on the net than aol.
the same happened to me, the best thing to do is just wait, aol will get it all back to you. mine took me 2 months to get back, once u get it back make sure you save it to your pc instead of aol, hope it helps.
Hi, had the same problem, there IS a way of getting it back and its all to do with replacing your PFC (personal filing cabnet) below is the email that aol sent me, i suggest that you copy and paste this onfo on to a blank word document, then print it and follow the instructions. Good luck everyone!!

You need to perform these Steps Offline (AOL Should be completely Closed)
Step 1:
Go to Start -> Search -> then select Search for Files or Folders -> Type in your screenname for example "abcxyz" of which the PFC (Emails Saved on PC) has been lost in Search for Files or folders named box also select "C- Drive" in look in option and then Click on Search,
STEP 2:
After the search is complete you may receive many files double click on Size (sort the file by size) at the top and copy the file with the maximum size without any extension for example you need to copy the file "abcxyz" and not "abcxyz.exe" or "abcxyz.abi" etc.
STEP3:
After you have copied the file , paste the file file on Desktop,
If your AOL is still have AOL open close AOL completely as you need to perform the steps offline.(Note: Save these steps in a text file or print them before closing AOL.)
Right click on the AOL icon you use to start AOL and click on Properties, this can be done from your desktop or the Start menu.
An AOL Properties window will open and on the 'Shortcut' tab you will see the location of the AOL folder for that version.
Click on Find Target, which will open the AOL folder where your Organize folder is stored. (Windows XP users may see a 'System Information' option instead of Properties, simply click on the System Information tab, then click on the Folder button, which will open the AOL folder.)
Search for the folder named "Shortcut to Organise" Double click on this folder and then copy and paste the file that you have on the Desktop Eg. "abcxyz" , Once you choose paste You will be asked if you would like to replace the existing file, click Yes.
Now sign on to AOL -> Go to Read -> Manage email -> Saved on my PC , Incoming/Saved Email etc. You will now have all your PFC (Emails Saved on PC) back.

Thanks everyone, and chugg I will try that, just glad I'm not alone. Its usually best with AOL to let things settle, rather than to think its just my PC when really there's nothing wrong with it. :)
I'm also with aohell and when you sign on it's just advert city but I haven't lost my faves or emails yet but I have saved em all on my PC tho....
