In the 1950s Dubai was just a town of a few buildings. It looked like this:

There is almost no history in the town. The oldest building there is a school that was built in the 1950s.

The only thing worth seeing nowadays is the huge building work that is going on.

Here is a picture of Dubai as it was in 1991

This is what some of it looks like now

To be honest apart from the dramatic skyline there is not a lot to see.

In Dubai, alcohol regulations are governed by Islamic law, and there are specific rules regarding the purchase and consumption of alcohol. Here's some information about purchasing alcohol at Dubai airports:
https://improperties.ae/gulfa-tower-ajman-secure-future-with-off-plan-properties/
Duty-free alcohol: Dubai airports have duty-free shops where you can purchase alcohol if you are a non-Muslim and 21 years of age or older. These shops are usually located in the departure areas of the airport. You may be required to present a valid ID or passport for age verification.

Quantity limits: There are limits on the quantity of alcohol you can purchase at duty-free shops. The limits can vary, but as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the general guideline is that non-Muslim tourists can purchase up to four liters of alcohol (including spirits, wine, and beer) per person.

Transporting alcohol: If you purchase alcohol at the airport, it's important to be aware of the regulations regarding transporting it. Some countries have restrictions on importing alcohol, so if you have a connecting flight or are traveling to another destination, make sure to check the regulations of your final destination regarding alcohol importation.

Liquor licenses: In Dubai, outside of duty-free areas, the sale and purchase of alcohol are strictly regulated. To buy alcohol for personal consumption within Dubai, residents need to obtain a liquor license. Visitors who are not residents are generally not eligible for liquor licenses and must rely on the duty-free shops for purchasing alcohol.

It's worth noting that regulations and policies can change, so it's advisable to check the latest information and guidelines from the official sources or with the Dubai Airport authorities before your travel.
