I was an avid viewer of the Harold Lloyd silent movies that were regularly shown on BBC2 in the late 70s early 80s, at around 6pm (on school nights). They had music tracks and the occassionally voice-over by an American chap.

Does anyone know if you can buy this series on either VHS tapes or DVD?

I have looked on the Internet but to no avail.

Thanks :)

I remember these!  As kids, we were allowed to watch this while we were having our tea on a Friday evening (we normally had to sit at the table to eat - Friday night treat to sit in the lounge and have dinner on our laps!!)

I'm sure that i've seen these on video in MVC along with other vintage comedy like Laurel & Hardy.  Hope this helps - you've bought back some fond memories for me.....  x:)

I just did a search on Harold LLoyd on amazon.co.uk and there are 12 videos and 2 DVDs available (the best being a S/H Harold Lloyd and friends DVD for 6.65).

i also remember these.his stunts were breathtaking especially when you know that he really did them and in an age where the stunts really had to be performed !

the one that stands out in my mind is him staggering across iron beams on a building site high above new york
