Is there a laser hair removal method, which can be used on darker skin? I have contacted a couple of laser hair removal salons and they said they'll get back to me, but never did.

My problem is the total opposite of yours - I have very pale skin and want the remaining hard, blond hairs removed.

I have used laser hair removal for a few years (I was very hairy due to polycystic ovaries) and it is a great treatment.

Good luck in finding somebody who can treat your hairs.

I have PCOS too, hence my hairy problem.
It might be possible to get in done on the NHS - I went on an NHS waiting list but it was a couple of years long.

My face and neck used to be really hairy and I usually resorted to shaving. The laser treatment hurts but it is SO woth the effort.

I also take Metformin and Agnus Castus.

Try the PCOS website - Verity.

Good luck - it is a horrible problem to have. And if you have dark skin it will be harder to get rid of. My skin is as white as you can get.

I'm also on Metformin and take Agnus Castus. Do you take Agnus Castus everyday or just leading up to your period? I purchased mine from Holland and Barratt, but they don't provide any indepth information.

I tend to wax my facial hair, which is gradually getting worse as many of the finer hairs are now quite coarse. All information I've read so far advises that it's not suitable for Asian or Afro Caribbean skin tones, as the laser works on pigmentation and cannot distinguish between skin and hair pigment, so will burn the skin.
I take two of the Agnus Castus twice a day all the time - I got in touch with a guy via the Sunday Post and he advised me to take this dosage.

I am 44 but all blood tests indicate that I have never ovulated, I used to take Dianette but had to give it up due to my weight and HBP.

The Agnus Castus gives me a bleed - otherwise the Doctor wanted to prescribe a drug to make this happen.

Some of the laser machines do treat dark skin - the darker your skin the harder it will be to get treatment.

Try and get your paws on an issue to something like the Which magazine. There doesn't seem to be an unbiased advice regarding these machines. There has to be a regulating authority that oversees the usage of them and can advise you what type of machine is likely to be able to help you.

Try somewhere like BUPA - some of the private clinics are doing this sort of treatment.

Good luck and keep in touch.
