I have been getting stomach cramps for the last couple of days, last night I went to bed with a hot water bottle to try and ease it a little. I have no idea how it happened, but the top of it popped out of its thread and the hot water has scalded all of my stomach and parts of my chest and thighs.

I ran a cold shower over the area for ages, but today it's still painful and bright red. Does anyone know of any creams I can put on that will soothe it without suffocating it and making it worse?

Right, I went to the chemist, who told me the best place to go was A&E to have it checked out, I was reluctant to do that so she gave me ibuprofen and an aloe vera gel and told me to go tomorrow if it wasn't any better.

The almost instant relief from the gel was almost (not quite though!) better than sex LOL.

I've cracked open the GnT as further medicinal purposes (honest) and a slab of choccy for company :0)

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, it's very much appreciated.

I live life scared by hot watter burns.

The advice from others about Cling film is sound.

When i was a child they used to rub Butter and other Muck into the wound.

Go to A&E ASAP.
Poor you! I don't like water bottles for that reason. I have one of those barley/wheat things. You just put it in the micerowave for about 3 mins and it is lovely and warm. It is safer than a water bottle. Get yourself one. They are only about 7 and, whatever they cost, it is better than buring yourself again. I find Germolene good for burns. It has anesthetic qualities too so it takes some of the pain away. Be careful having G&T with painkillers! The two don't mix that well. Go to the doctors/A&E asap is probably the best solution.
Hope you are better soon. Night Night.

I slept on the sofa with no covers and my heating on to still keep my cosy LOL. It's still red, but not as raw looking as yesterday x
