Seems Ian is to be vilified for slapping Lucy after she wrecked his home and hit him.

If it was me, I'd still be kicking her bloodied corpse around that square.

It seems to be a cardinal sin to remonstrate with a child by hitting them. Of course the youth of today is perfect testament to this being good practise
No need to kick her around the square or hit her, especially when she's too busy wearing concrete boots at the bottom of the canal.
It was a bit hard but she did deserve it. I think this is the problem with the youth of today that there is no disipline. Its all been taken away. A smack when we needed it never did me and my bro any harm. It wasnt very often only when we were really naughty!! For example i turned around and called my bro a bas***d when i was 6. Only cos i heard the lady on 'Just Good Friends' say it to vincent (that was his name was it???). We respect our elders and environment unlike many youths of today (if you could call us youths both being in our 30s???)

I think it's ridiculous that he's been vilified for it. She hit him first and if i had ever hit either one of my parents, I would certainly have expected a slap back (either that or been thrown out of the house!)
I thought that too Esther - they can come here and clean mine! lol
