You're a saint!
Oo-er! There's something very, very spooky going on here. As if by magic, Theland has reappeared - and now Kroozer's disappeared!!

Has he been kidnapped, and should we wait for a ransom note - or could it be something far more sinister? Mmmm .... strange happenings indeed in R&S!
It's the "Twilight Zone."
Aren't they funny wonky things dipped in Marmite? Oh no, sorry, that's Twiglets.
It's as mysterious as that thing that used to lurk under the bed at night when I was a kid. And no, I'm not talking about the chamber pot!
Ah, that's the 'boggart' from Harry Potter. It hides in the wardrobe and takes on the form of whatever you're most afraid of. The remedy? To laugh at it. There's your answer - you turn it into an object of ridicule - and zap - it disappears. Good philosophy from J K Rowling. Not sure she tried it with a chamber pot though.
Weren't the beds high in those days?
Morning Theland, At least with those we have now with drawers underneath, the kids can't imagine there's something lurking waiting to grab them. I remember that feeling well!
And speaking of beds, how does your new regime of going to bed regularly every night feel? After all those years on shift work, are you finding it strange?
Morning Great Heart. Yes, keeping regular hours is great. I don't know if it is the illness or the cure, but i'm whacked all of the time and in bed usually by 11pm, and, I sleep, the insomnia seems to have gone. But i wake up feeling hung over, and I don't drink now. Weird or what?
You have been under a lot of stress for a very long time so your mind and your body have a lot of mending to do. Don't forget that. It takes time to mend and it takes time to adjust, so be gentle with yourself, indulge yourself for once, and allow yourself as much time as you need.
It does feel strange not having a job. If I return to work, I honestly don't think I could do such a physical job again, and yet engineering is what I know, and where I could earn the most money, but I do think something more sedentary is the way to go, even if it does not pay very well.
If and when you're ready to go back to work, then it's time for an easier option. You've mustered up the courage to take that big step you needed to take, and there's no point in making your life difficult again when you don't need to.

Must go now. Have a lovely day.
It's happened again - posts disappearing and unable to post new messages - hence Theland1 in green for the moment.
