I was about to purchase a pair of Ghd straightners, when I began to read on the web that the brand new Creative Kodo straightners outperform any other and are said to be the best on the market. Anyone any suggestions?

hey my hairdresser uses GHD straighteners on my hair which are excellent. However I also have Kodo straighteners of my own and in my opinion I think they work just as well as GHD's or even better. Also there have been certain reports that some GHD's have went on fire. Kodo straighteners are bout 10-20 cheaper depending on where you buy them from. You can get a pair for about 80 from Sally's.
The reports of GHD's setting on fire were true but only due to a faulty batch - my sister had some - now everything is OK and the problem was resolved, GHD will exchange any from this batch.
GHDs! It will be one of the best investments you ever make. My impossible hair is sorted out beautifully with these and after having bought and returned several GHD wannabes including Kodo, I have to say the real thing is the best. For how amazing my hair looks after I've used the GHDs on it, I can safely say I would have been happy to pay double what I did for them. No contest!

If i purchase straighenters off the net, how do i know i am getting the real thing and not fakes? Is there anything to look out for?
There is only one GHD brand and all good outlets will sell the real thing. On Ebay look out for the sellers' feedbacks.

Perhaps most important, look out for the words 'like GHDs', 'as good as GHDs', 'ceramics with GHD technology' etc. as these will be imitations and not nearly as good as the original.

Thanks everyone! beenee can you suggest where I can get Ghd's for a good price?
I bought mine from this seller on Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ca
tegory=11853&item=4169894992

I found this to be the best deal on the internet and had no problems with the transaction.
Alternatively, go to www.kelkoo.co.uk and search for GHD Straighteners - it will find the cheapest dealer (from their database) for you.
Try logging on to www.hair-care.co.uk its got everything there is GHD

does anyone know what the web address for sallys is?
