Maybe a spelling error. What does it mean? I have heard it on TV usually in the context of the Vietnam war and US veterans.

"Didi mao" (pronounced "dee-dee mahew" (rhymes with cow) is US Military/Vietnamese slang for "go away" or "bug out" or "get out of here".

Di is the Vietnamese word for to go, Mau - quickly.
