Are these wireless video senders any good? And would having a metal roof on the house effect the signal?

Some are better than others. Certain ones will not work with SKY or NTL, but I forget which. As for effecting the signal because of a metal roof......possibly! The one I have (Total control AV sender from Argos) works OK, but gets interference from walking to close to it and also from my wireless broadband, but it's not too bad. I think the AEI DigiSender was the better one (although the remote control extender stopped working on mine after 3 months).

Best thing to do is contact the manufacturers technical department for each one to see what they say.

check the specs. especially range. Avoid cheapo brands and you should be OK.

Some only send the audio and video signal, others allow you to remotely control the original device also.
