Lost Modum.

My PC, using Win XP, will not retain the settings for my plug & play modum.
Each time i want to use the modum for faxing, i have to unplug it, turn off the pc, restart the pc and then plug the modum in again. After this i have to search for new hardware and only then can a send a fax. My modum is a US Robotics 56K Sportster Flash, and my fax is Snappy Fax V 4
