Has anybody been during december? whats the weather like?, thinking of booking for a week at xmas.any other suggestions for somewhere quite hot, cheap(ish) up to 5hrs flight, thanks.

Sharm El-Sheikh is probably 'pleasantly warm', rather than 'hot', in December:

For (relatively) cheap holidays, but with some hot sunshine, you might need to stretch your maximum flight time up to 6 hours, which will take you to Banjul or Kololi:

I went to sharm on 26th December its quite warm during the day but from around 3pm it got freezing stay close to town becuse i staying in nabq bay and there is nothing there other destinations i recommend are Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Cape Verde is a new one. Hope this helps
