removing silicone sealant residue

hi
i hav some old silicone residue on my windows, i have tried nail polish remover, which is good but need somthing stronger, any ideas how to get it off quicker,

Try a Stanley blade, it should scrape it off without leaving any marks
Do you have a window scraper? I used one to get the limescale off my father's shower screen and it only got rid of the foreign bodies, so to speak.
You can buy proper silicone rubber remover, comes in a tube like toothpaste.
Meths works quite well.
Try "Thinner's" it is used in the motor trade.
