Over the last 12 weeks, my 92-year-old father-in-law slowly slipped away and has now been laid to rest.

"Many Thanks" to all my AB friends, who sent kind messages of condolence and expressed concern for my own well-being.

"Very Special Thanks" are due to gen2 for his superb help running MM in my absence. He's a hard act to follow, but I feel that I cannot ask him to continue any further and perhaps the time has come for me to try to restore a rhythm to my life once more.

My "Thanks" also go to Pauline for continuing to make 'The Second Dragonfly Quiz' an even greater success than the first. She has persuaded me to start work on Quiz Number Three! It will take a little time to put everything together, so please be patient.

One regret I do have is that Pauline won the MM Links Game during my absence and so I was unable to work with her (as if she needs help!).

I look forward to seeing who will be crowned the new March Monarch of the MM Links. There are quite a few new names on the score sheets ~ to add to the many "old" favourites.

With luck, next weekend it will be business as usual!

Welcome back - I'm glad you feel up to it and hope it does restore some rhythm to your life.

I don't think I can have been paying attention properly earlier, so please accept belated condolences - I hope you and the rest of your family can indeed return now to business as usual.

I echo BigMac in extending my condolences and sympathy. It is a tough time in one's life and takes longer than most people realise to get over emotionally.

Best wishes

It's a pleasure to have your company once more crofter, and I can well appreciate the difficult times you have recently experienced.

As you say, gen2 has kept the MM Links ship afloat during your absence, continuing the level of expertise we had become accustomed to during your previous time at the helm!

Best wishes .. (S)
