I'm getting very frustrated as the local hunt still hunt every week despite the law. There is no point calling the police as they are not interested. The hunt just say they aren't hunting. Yet I saw a fox running across the field with the hunt in pursuit. If I took video evidence in the future would this hold water in court? Would I have to take out civilian action or would I hand it to the police? I have little faith anything would come of it as they seem to have law unto themselves, but I am getting angrier and angrier the more I see the flouting going on. What can I do that is within the law?

if they havnt killed anything then theyre not breaking the law are they? leave them alone. the police dont care. its unenforceable anyway you are wasting your time. life is too short. find something to involve your time in so you dont get so frustrated and angry. its not doing you any good . is it?
Jedi, why not go to the papers with you video evidence? They will probably be interested in toffs flouting the law.
When you see them shout out

"I hope ALL fox hunters die of cancer"

"Fox hunters rape babies"

"Fox hunters have small knobs"

Or something equally as foul.

If they are not fox hunters, then why should they care?

Also, get loads of dog biscuits and throw them at the dogs.

As far as I know there is no law in feeding a dog. What can happen? Will they call the police on you? My advice, let the rozzers arrive. Film them and you saying "Officer, I believe these people are fox hunting. I demand you do something about it!!"
You could contact your local hunt saboteur association.... where are you based ?

I am well aware the police are instructed not to get involved and the crown judges are probably all at it. That's what's so annoying. You're right Leepylee I shouldn't let it get to me. The only satisfaction would be that I do something about it. Since the fuzz and judicial system isn't working I think I'll have to resort to other measures.

Jugglering I am based in the west country and would be happy to contact my local Hunt Saboteurs if you have pointers. Though I suspect the police are more likely to have their orders to enforce the anti saboteuring measures (aggravated trespass) introduced during the 90's rather than the hunting with dogs act.
I thought they were allowed to chase but not kill it?

Send them to where I live - there are 100's of the blasted things barking and howling all night
One of Labour's more stupid attempts at legislation which promised much to the significant number that wanted the law of the land amended, but it has proved to be unenforceable.
I live in Surrey, Big hunting county, legally they are only allowed to drag or trail hunt whereby they follow a trail left by a human, if the hounds pick up on a fox and then kill it, as far as I am aware they are not then breaking the law as the intention was not hunting foxes but trail 'following'.
I would like to add here that I am anti as well and I am not a 'townie' come to live in the country, I have lived in the countryside all my life.
