Ken Dodd - Richard & Judy

Caught the end of this, but apparently there is a petition for Ken Dodd to recieve a knighthood. I know that one regular on here LOVES the old KD and wondered what she thought about this....

I think Doddy�s great! The fact that he hasn�t got a knighthood might be due to that business with the tax man. We haven�t got a Sir Lester Piggott yet either.

redheadisbac is the big doddy nut!!! I agree he should be knighted though, he is amazing.

He did have a well publicized case about not paying income tax a few years ago. He even made the fact he did not pay it part of his act.

Maybe that would count against him in getting a knighthood.

(Mind you that prat Mick Jagger got one so I suppose they are willing to forgive anything)

He creeps me out, there's something about him that makes me feel wierd. Like a father or uncle of a friend who is inappropriate. Looks like he needs a damn good wash too.

Everyone should go and see his act, he is absolutely amazing and so funny it's unbelievable.

Like it or not, he wasn't convicted of tax evasion and he does a phenomenal amount of charity work each year.

Given some of the people that hold knighthoods, Ken's is long overdue..
