What films have you seen recently that you really enjoyed?

I watched Pans Labyrinth last night and was totally engrossed in it. Terrific film, I was in bits at the end though.

I have also watched a lot of Kung fu films recently, shaolin soccer, Kung fu hustle are hilarious :)

Hi tiggerblue! I LOVE Hot fuzz - it makes me laugh! I am a huge Simon Pegg fan, I adore Sean of the Dead, one of the best films from the last 5 years. imo. Hxx

I quite like films that have a story to tell, have good intelligent dialogue and played out by competent actors.
orThey can funny, scary, informative, educational, trivial, anything you like but not purile,inane or inept

I enjoyed The painted veil, very well acted and whilst I knew how it was going to end I was still rooting for them.

From Dusk til Dawn - now theres a film that has EVERYTHING, drama, comedy, gore and GC with tattoos!

In Pursuit of Happyness. I really enjoyed it. It was a bit down at times but the uplifting ending made it more than worthwhile.

I also viewed Run Fatboy Run. Very funny actually.

I took the nipper to see Enchanted a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it,a great film.
Also I managed to pick up a copy of "Let it Ride" with Richard Dreyfuss,hadn't seen it for years.
Paid a �1 for it, the best quid I've spent since we beat the Villa 3-1 in 1984.A really funny film.

last time i went to a New style cinema i watched Buster ... I found the brand new cinema experiance cramped, small and gave me neck ache, so I have not bothered since although when I go on Holiday to Cornwall we always go to the one in Wadebridge which is untouched by modern facilities, its great and ooozes charm and atmosphere .....

I watched Enchanted the other night too, was really good. Great mix of classic Disney and a more adult humour.

Also watched Superbad last week, that was really good. I think I fell in love with Michael Cera!
