hi all,i've replaced the old drive of 12gb to a 40gb just done this and the screen is saying "non system disk or disk error strike replace and strike any key when ready" i keep striking key but nothing happens anyone know what i'm doing wrong,the new has all the same specs as the old drive,please help.

Have you actually installed an operating system onto the disk?

awwww ....

have you? ... tell me you have. what OS?
(12Gb must have been 98?)
have you made the system partition active?

thanks for taking an interest in the question but got it sorted just had to hold the delete key to run the windows xp disc,cheers.
