I'm giving my sons a joint birthday party this year (they'll be 4 & 6) and we've decided on a Children of the World theme, so everyone to dress up and have fun whilst learning! However, I would love some good suggestions of finger food (not too messy!) from different countries that kids will enjoy trying.

I would suggest fried plantain. Very tasty - from the Caribbean and/or Africa.
Indian sweets are nice, but they are very sweet, so be warned.
how about things like samosas (India), chicken satay sticks (Thailand/Malaysia), BBQ buffalo wings and loaded potato skins (USA), spring rolls (China), mini quiche (France)

sounds yummy - can I come!?!?!
I personally wouldn't serve children that young with satay - especially not my own children.
How about pizza - Italy
mini burgers - USA
french bread
naan bread - India

I wouldn't go mad serving loads of stuff that 4 and 6 year olds don't know what it is - just a few select things and some they know and love!

Wonderful ideas - thank you so much. I have some great pictures from all of those countries and others - so will probably put some party plates at each 'country' stop around the hall and they can pick and choose like a little buffet then take to the party table to try.
Keep them coming - this is a great help!! Thanks cpbbucks.
