Hello, Am going to NY for the first time in July and would like to download or print off an itinery for my time there am going for 5 days. All the obvious places will be visited etc... But having not been there and not really knowing the magnitude of how far away things ar eform each other would like to download an itinery we can follow for a smooth, fit everything in sort of trip. Anyone know of any sites I can visit please?

Also any websites for gigs? I want to see a gig whilst there - someone 'big' but am unsure where to look for tickets etc...
Get a decent city guide and choose where you want to go. But in my experience you can plan as much as you want to but lots of things can transpire to put your schedule out (traffic, queues etc) so have an idea what you want to do but just go with the flow. Try this website for things to go, gigs, shows and suchlike.

Thanks guys
When I went I did:
Day we landed - Macys, Times Square
Full Day 1 - Staten Island Ferry, Wall Street, Ground Zero, helicopter ride, Greenwich Village, Little Italy, China Town (we were up early that day!)
Full Day 2 (a Sunday) - Central Park, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Empire State (at night)
Full Day 3 - Shopping on 5th Avenue, Grand Central Station, St Patricks Cathedral and in the evening, a show on Broadway
Last Day - Rockefeller Centre and a trip to Top Of The Rock (the top fo the Rockefeller Centre and the best place to view the Empire State from), last minute shopping
