We always have girls dogs and give them girl names in the past Anna, Jill, Rosie and now we have Megan

Call him Luke you will be surprised how it will grow on you.
Hi mizi, I hope Luke is settling in well. Our Collie is called Jack-a human and doggy name! I don't think you need to tie yourself to any particular type of name.
Perhaps "Luca" is less person-y? Or Lucas?

I am tickled by perigra's suggestion! x
What about Fluke?

Which incidently was a brilliant book by Stephen King.
Lucas - two syllables, great for calling him Loo - cas.Not much change from 'Luke' and easy for the dog to adapt.
Mine was called Fleur, but that was just the name they gave her in the Rescue Centre to distinguish her from the others. Now she's Martha and responds well to it.
I don't mean to be pedantic but wasn't Fluke written by James Herbert?
we didnt know the name of our dog when we got her from a dogs home, so we gave her a new name, she started to respond to it in a few days, no trouble at all. Machs a cool name...
Cujo was S.K :o)
