I have IncrediMail among my Program Files, and don't remember downloading it or how it got there. I use Outlook Express and MailWasher which are quite sufficient and cannot find how to uninstall IncrediMail. It doesn't appear in Control Panel and I can't find any uninstall option in the program folder. Can anyone help please?

You are right to want to get rid of Incredimail.

Ethel's absolutely right - but, if you're a bit nervous about poking around in the registry - try the removal tool in Ccleaner - available on free download :o)

Thank you both.
Ethel, I printed the information from the link you gave and will do a bit of fishing around in registry, although I'm a bit wary about it. It starts by saying go to Control Panel and use add/remove which I would do, but IncrediMail doesn't appear there. Maybe I should just bin the folder from Programs and then look in registry.

Builder, I've looked at Ccleaner on the internet, but haven't yet got around to exploring it properly. Have you used it? I'm a bit worried about trying 'cleaners' in case they clean away too much and things that I wouldn't want to lose!

Must say I dislike programs that don't provide their own uninstall option.

I followed the process on the URL Ethel gave (masses of headings and columns and one needs to be very careful) but it worked and I got rid of Incredimail - except for one unexpected 'quirk'. I ran the MailWasher accounts wizard, which said it had 'detected' Incredimail, much to my annoyance! Looking at Mailwasher > program help > Outlook Express, I found 'Outlook Express/ Incredimail' combined in the Mailwasher index, so it seems to be something Mailwasher expects - whether it's there or not! I clicked 'accept' but there was nothing to accept and no change was made. Good luck to anyone who tries it.
