Licenses for collectible weapons please help me out here!!

Do i need a licence to buy and own collectible weapons eg. swords, axes, daggers etc, and if i do need a license, how the hell do i go about getting one:??? ive looked just about everywhere and i found nothing that gives me any hints on how to get a weapon licence Please help me out. Thnks

You can collect edged weapons as long as they are just for display within your house. As soon as you carry them outside, or use them to attack or threaten anyone, you will be committing a criminal offense.

As for firearms, most items sold are deactivated and can be used for display. As with edged weapons, you must not take them out side, and they must be stored in a secure location. A firearms certificate is required from the Police for most guns that are in a working condition.

Any firearms dealer can advise you on the safety of specific firearms.

i think most deactivated firearms are becoming illegal now as is carrying anything considered a weapon immitation or not outside in public, or where the public may view it and consider it to be used in malice. nothing wrong with buying them and keeping them in a nice cabinet at home tho
