Bear grylls food poisoning

Bear grylls eats loads of raw meat (including dead animals) on his adventures show - how come he doesn't get seriously ill with food poisoning?

Haven't seen it but is it red meat? You can eat raw steak in the form of steak tartare so I don't suppose it would be a problem eating other red meats raw.

raw meat per se isnt a problem for food poisoning - the bacteria builds up as the dead animal gets older and older, so if he is easting newly deceased raw meat it shouldn't be too much of a problem

lol, thankyou meglet. His nick name went from edward....to teddy..... to teddy bear......to bear. Also, Bear said he only eats the meat if it's freshly killed, which can sometimes be told by scavenger birds eating the meat, because they only eat fresh meat. Also he said make sure to drink a lot of water after eating fresh red meat as it helps in the digestion.
