A decent pressure washer should do the trick
You need one of them small pump up spray guns you buy from places like B&Q and put some type of industrial cleaner in it to get rid of the green moss stuff...
Use PatioMagic, dilute in a watering can, 18 a large container, worked for me.
I cleaned out the kitchen waste recycling wheely bin a couple of days ago

- bear with me, I'll make sense in a while -

anyway I poured some thick domestos around and hosed it in, then left it overnight.

I then poured the resulting liquid down a drain, but some spilt in the area before running into said drain.

Lo and behold now, all the green moss or algae around the drain has been killed.

The moral of the story, try a watering can of diluted bleach.
Paint it!

cant use a pressure washer as i will have gravel flying around like shrapnel!

i was thinking about bleaching the gravel, will deffo give that a go.
I know it's not very helpful, I adore the suggestion of painting it.

However, the idea of dangerous low flying gravel from pressure washing is also appealing!

Good luck with whatever one you go with gucciman :-)
wash each bit of gravel individually in a sink. You should be done by 2050 ;-)

Diluted bleach definately works
