I don't know if it's the right thing for you.

Why do you want to be wireless?
lol ....
it's the curse of modern civilisation .....

slow (theoretical max of only 54Mb/s) and totally dependant on your surroundings (and neighbours)

....... but then that's just my opinion.....
seriously .... wireless is usefull if you can't get there any other way .....if you can .... do

Hi Ethel

the reason i thought to go wireless, is because where we are moving to in the very near future, the phone socket is at one end of the property, and where my computer will be , is the other, so it would mean running wires all around the place, so i am very unsure about it , Thanks
Go for it. All you need is a wireless modem/router and a PC with wireless capabilities. You can use your current tiscali connection - they don't even need to know you are doing this. Very handy if you have a laptop as you can take it anywhere in the house or garden and get online.

It's not slower - it might have a max speed of 54mbs, but you'll be lucky to get more than 2mbs out of your internet anyway, so you won't notice any difference.
