Hi. I ordered train tickets on line from National Express and the transaction for the cost is clearly shown on my Mastercard statement. That was 27 January, 12 days ago. The tickets have not arrived, despite my asking for them to be sent 1st class post.
They say I can collect copies from the station on day of travel but that is not convenient - how can I be sure they will be there? I feel since they have taken the money, they should send tickets. Where di I stand?

Well can;t answer about the travel side, you'll just have to trust them, but IF theworst happens, you shouldn't be out of pocket as you bought them on a credit card and there is statutory protection when you do that. IF you have to, contact your card company.
You could see if they will send them by ETicket as I'm sure they do those now.

Ethel. I asked for it ti be sent 1st class post. There is nothing on their website to cover the non appearance of the ticket.
Can you ask them to send them to you via email so you can print them off?
Just an idea, not sure if it is an option
When are the tickets for and what sort of tickets are they?

If they are advance purchase tickets then you should have received them by now.

If they are flexible tickets (eg savers) then the system is (or was - it could have changed) that they are not posted until about a week before the journey.
The exact same thing has happened to me. I bought rail tickets on the 26th of January fro travel in the 15th of February.
They have been posted according to their records but I have not received them. Apparently there has been a 'backlog'.

Picking the tickets up on the day is not convenient for me either because there are always large queues to get tickets and information at my local station, and I am busy up to 30 minutes before I am due to travel.

Very frustrating! I am going to contact them to ask if it is possible to be emailed tickets instead of picking them up on the day.
I know it's not the same but our flight tickets had not arrived once and they said we can collect them from the desk I was worried sick! but they were there , but it is a worry
