....I applied for a payday loan but not liking there extortionate rates cancelled this and returned the cash however this is all done on the internet my account blaance shows as Nil but they insist I have not paid them back they are based in Malta and I have never signed anthing only an electornic signature where do I stand legally ( I have a print of my account balance as 0.00 dated today)

I sent the cash via a barclays account but cannot currently locate the paper work waht is your story withthem

You are legally bound by an electronic signature. However you should contact Barclays. They will have a record of the transaction.

With proof I suggest you then send it to the lender. I'm sure it's just an error on their part.
