My sister is 50 soon and we (the family) would like to present her with something at her birthday celebration. It would be good if it made her laugh and hopefully something the whole family can contribute to. Any ideas welcome. Thanks

When my uncle was 50 we put had a 'This is your Life' style presentation.

Its relatively easy to put together an album of photos. One of my cousins made a slideshow which they used as the backdrop.
you could get a photo of every family member and cut out there heads to make a collage
For both my brother's 60th birthday I made a scrap book which included a family tree. Letters between my parents during the war. Information about my father's army career. Photos of when we were young and stories from most parts of their lives. Some fun pages with photographs that we had collected that were amusing, and one which said ten reasons why we love you. It is something that the whole family can contribute towards. There are some lovely
scrap books out there that look very professional and some beautiful papers and embellishments. My brothers said it was the best present that they were given and everyone else enjoyed looking at it because everyone was included in it soemwhere.
When my Dad turned 50 we did him a massive surprise party but it sounds like you've already told her about a celebration...?

The 'This Is Your Life' album is a fab idea, but why not also 'present' her with people from her past? Old school friends? Work Colleagues? Family she hasn't seen for ages? We managed to find friends that my Dad hadn't seen for 25 years and it was amazing :o)

I hope you have a great party!
