My eldest boy had a couple of boils on his neck (just call him Frankenstein!) which have been lanced, but he's now left with a couple of purple scars.
Has anyone any suggestions to help them disappear please?

You could try some bio-oil, you can get it from most chemists inc Boots and Superdrug.

Has a wierd smell mind so if on his neck may be worth putting in on at night before he goes to bed.
yes regular use of bio-oil will def do the trick. I did not find it too strong smelling. The more often he puts it on the better.
Bless him, miss O. Bio oil does wonders, I had an operation on my back a few years ago and bio-oil certainly reduced the appearance, but I did also have injections in it to stop it overscarring. I've since used it on my youngest sons eye lid when he sliced it open and the scar is very little and only notiable because I know its there.

On another note, how old is your son? and did they check for any reasons he might be getting boils?

Thanks for your answers folks.

Goody - he's 17 and probably got them because he was run down, burning the candle at both ends (and in the middle) and eating too much takeaway junk.
