1. My son is out in Afghanistan.
2. Ross Kemp spent several months training with HM Army, taking part in exercises on Salisbury Plain, etc. to prepare him for his time out in Afghanistan. He neither asked for nor received any special treatment.
3. This is the most under-reportedwar that UK has been involved in in 'modern' times.............
The BBC and/or Ross Kemp must have found a way of insuring him as he experienced exactlywhat our boys and girls experience on a daily basis. Sorry, Red, but I don't think he would have had the respect and admiration, or co-operation, from our boys and girls that he now enjoys had he had 'special protection', and war-zone cameramen are a different breed themselves; 50% committed to exposing the truth and 50% insane.
I just think that it is an insult to our forces over there that the only substantial coverage of this war has come via a rather limited actor...........
I don't have SKY and even if I did I wouldn't watch this programme....................I might tape it to watch with my boy when he's safe and sound back home, maybe..........
