prob is i want to sell a cross stitch i have just made on ebay but when i take the photo it looks all wavey on computer but when i double click on it to bring it up bigger it looks fine......ebay shrink the photos and this is when i get the wavey effect.....any ideas how to stop this

If you put your photos in the main body of the description using a host such as photobucket, they are free and big.

Doesn't much help with the gallery pic though.
What you're seeing is the 'moire' effect that occurs when the pattern of the photo is slightly out of synch with the regularity of the pixels in the picture on the monitor screen.
One way to avoid it is to re-sample the picture, using different 'dots per inch', using your favourite graphics programme, e.g. PhotoShop or PhotoPaint, and do it a few times, saving each one with a slightly different title. Then try and upload them one at a time to see which one looks best on the gallery in eBay. Good luck.
Furthermore, there's nothing to stop your uploading the picture to eBay fully. Providing you haven't got any immediate bids, you can always change the picture as many times as you want.
