Who sang that really annoying song - something like  "Oooh, ee, oooh, aah, ahh, ting tang, walla walla, bing bang"?  It's really been annoying me because I can't remember!

oh dear i feel ashamed for remembering "the cartoons - witchdoctor" (cartoonz??) I blame you misscommando and i hope that you hold your head in shame at causing so many to remember something that is so bad:-p (btw wasn't it a cover??)

The Witch Doctor  by Don Lang and his Frantic Five (real name, Gordon Langhorne) had a Top10 hit with  the David Seville song.  Reaching No5 in 1958.

David Seville (Real name Ross Bagdasarian) also released the track in the UK, but could only reach No11.

Contrary to popular belief, this was not a Chipmunks recording.  The Chipmunks were a follow on from the technique of speeding up the vocal track used on the record.
