easyjet bagggage limits
I know limit of 20Kg per person applies and I know that I am travelling with someone else and that we have paid to take one bag between us (short trip).
Also know that easyjet accept bags up to maximum of 32 Kg and they have lots of other spiel on the website that do not speak plain English - but my degeree does not allow me to work it out....
Simple question? - is there excess to pay if two people turn up with one bag that weighs 30Kg?
Have tried easyjet customer service and the answer is even muddier than the FAQ site.

I am certain that they dont let you combine baggage allowance, this applies even if you have small children. You have to have under the limit even if you have crammed in everyones clothes to take just one bag

Each bag has to be checked in by an individual passenger using that person's baggage allowance. ('Pooling' is not permitted).
If I've read your post correctly, you've already paid the �3.99 advance fee to register one bag. If you turn up with just that bag, weighing 30Kg, you'll be charged �60 for excess baggage. (i.e. 10Kg at �6 per Kg).

If you take two separate bags (both weighing less than 20Kg), you'll just have to pay the �8 fee for registering a second bag at the airport. (I'm not sure whether you can amend your existing booking online and register that bag before you arrive. If so, the �3.99 fee will apply, rather than the �8 fee at the airport).

Online you can pay �3.99 per extra case, however, BEWARE,when you try to pay for ONE extra case, to enable you both to have a suitcase.. and both to have your 20kgs EJ charges TWO lots of �3.99, an additional �7.98
(3 people 3 x �3.99 etc.)

Interestingly, today (1/2/08),I have just entered the same flight details on the EJ website, the price is a great deal more now, due to the flight being in the next 2 weeks, but, the luggage allowance is now 2 pieces of hold luggage per passengers combined
