It will work for anyone who follows the instructions. This has been going around for years. It's just a quirk of maths, that's all.
But how does the computer know what I'm looking at?
Because all the multiples of 9 have the same symbol.
the ansewer is always a multiple of 9
if the number is XY (eg 89 8=X, 9=Y) then the actual number is 10X +Y (80 +9 =89).
it then asks wou to deduct X+Y
(10X+Y) - (X+Y) = 9X (always a multiple of nine)
