Has anyone seen those new Heinz beans in pots, how lazy are these people? Surely its just same as opening a can with ring pull, all you save on is the washing up and I bet they are double the price. Plus you don't get that much in them.

Do you mean these ones 4get?

I think Heinz would argue that it's convenience food as opposed to consumers being lazy

But surely a little can pop in a tub and stick in microwave is just as easy
Question Author
and you know what it will be students that buy them or elderly that will then moan they dont have money
Or you could peel back the lid, put it in the microwave, eat then dispose of the pot, saves the tin making process, gas/electric cooking and washing up, therefore more environmentally friendly.

I personally don't eat them, just playing devil's advocate
hi 4getmenot
im so lazy,
that after ive eaten beans, i sit on a whoopee cushion cause im to lazy to fart
Question Author
yer it is good on environment but who is really thinking about that when they buy them. like grated cheese in a bag, come on people are just too much in a rush nowadays
But beans explode in the microwave so what have they done to them.
-- answer removed --
They also cause an explosion in your underpants helly but folk still buy them
Question Author
surely thats a special offer, any HP large tins 99p for 4 at moment in my local. and beans dont always explode maybe you put them in too long. xx
we love em at our house, just rip the lid off and heat and serve, no messing about, just great!!

I only buy em for my kids, its an accident waiting to happen if i let my kids open tins , they like to raid my cupboards when they get home from school so the pots allow them to have a healthy fast snack that they can fix themselves if im still busy with something.
i got them as they were 4 for 1, same price (and size) as the normal tins i buy, in nuker onto plate then recycle, job done i think they're great - although if the price goes up i'll be back to buying the tins!
We tried them -on offer- but we are going back to tins they taste better!
More different ways to add to landfill!
Hi 4get sweets , clever title hun :-) xxx
actually. i think ther're brilliant. the reason i bought them was to save on wastage at a time when this world is becoming ever more product-greedy.
I normally eat on my own at lunchtime: therefore, one whole can is too much, the small cans are too small...however these new pots have a weight of 200g which is inbetween the weights of the regular and small sized cans.
I think more people should consider how often they don't get through a whole tin to themselves...
Question Author
I use small tins if I;m not gonna get through a whole one. The advert cant be about waste though as in the time they nuke the beans they are boiling kettle, using water, wasting a tbag etc
