downloading for dummies

i cant seem to download anything off the internet. i havent a clue what im doing and i need a step by step guide to everything. is there such a thing? please help, my 3 week old laptop is about to go out the window. actually, its probably me, i should go outa the window, rah!

Mandi, the only way I can help is too suggest that you post this in 'Technology'. There are some really clever people there.

not sure exactly what you want to download but the basic thing is usually to right-click on it and one of the things it says should be 'save', and you click on that...

hi guys, i meant to ask if there was a book i could buy, hence the post here. cos ive tried the obvious 'download now' buttons and 'computer says noooo'!
