We'll be visiting Florida soon and have heard that you need lots of quarters for tolls.  Can i buy quarters in the UK to take with me, and if so where from?

Don't worry too much about quarters until you get there. Once you start shopping you will have a surplus of them. I usually just head into a shop at the airport and buy a bag of sweets to start of my small change collection. Most toll areas on the major routes I have gone through have at least one where you can hand over cash and get change. Although I would recommend that you request small denomination notes when getting your dollars. The toll operators are not keen in getting $20 notes from all the tourists coming out of the airport.
when we went we flew into Sanford Airport not Orlando International Airport and being a smallish airport - I can't remember even seeing a shop, luckily my son had been to States with school on a skiing trip and had brought home some small change - although as we got lost and ended up going on more toll roads than we should have, the small change ran out fairly quickly, but as Desertrat said I suppose you could stop and buy something when you see a shop
You should only need about $3-4 dollars in change and almost all toll plazas on between Sanford/Orlando International and the Kissimmee / International Drive / Lake Buena Vista tourist resort areas have staffed booths.  As suggested, ensure you have some singles in your hoilday money and buy gum or a paper in the iarport and you will soon have enough quarters.
