Your sight could certainly be affected - Health and Safety law means that people who work in front of computers get free eye tests every 6 months for this reason.
A fire retardant (triphenyl phosphate) is used on many computers. Phosphates are highly toxic, and some experts believe that they can be released into the atmosphere when your computer is warm, causing allergic reactions - itching, skin problems and headaches. You need to keep your working area well-ventilated.
You may get repetitive strain injury from typing . Failing that you may lack a social life!
